Thanksgiving shopping? Not in states that ban it
Wed Nov 27, 2013
Judging by the pictures of Black Thursday or whatever you want to call it shoppers, they look like 20-somethings who more likely than not buying themselves things while someone else is at home cooking for them. They are to blame when they started lining up at Best Buy Thanksgiving night.
Hundreds of teens mob pedestrians on Chicago's Magnificent Mile
Mon Apr 1, 2013
I think the residents of Chicago should take this as a heads up for next year and be prepared to defend yourselves any way you need to. And the parents of those kids need to be aware that their kid might not come home that night because they chose to assault the wrong person.
Hunt for bogus war heroes uncovers thousands of hoaxers

I knew a guy who served at 19 years old in Vietnam. The worst he would ever talk about was a funny story about how he fell asleep exhausted on top of a fire ant hill. If you tried to get anything else out of him he would tear up and get very upset. I think its pitiful that anyone would try to fake t …

Decent coupons haven't been available here in NYC since the 1970s. No doubling ever and its all for stuff like Soft Soap, Pepsodent and Hamburger Helper. Our big deal is the twice a year Shoprite "can-can" sale, that's when people stock up on pasta, sauce, soups etc.
12-year-old boy who was victim of bullying attack dies after weeks in hospital
Mon Mar 4, 2013
God help any kid who did this to one of mine. What, did he look at you funny? Did he like a girl you liked too? Did he decide to take a shot to the face this time instead of doing your homework for you or handing over his money? Did he drop the ball and make you lose the game? Did your parents tell …

Boy does this sound familiar! The hot water heater in my prior house wouldn't stay lit. The charge to fix it, replacing the copper thermo-coupler, was $175. The Maytag hot water heater in my newer house, same problem.

Cockroach, can't you hear your mom calling down to you to come and eat lunch? And she removed the crust on your PB&J, just how you like it!
Bébé wars, part deux: What real French moms love, and hate, about American parenting
Mon Feb 11, 2013
At what point do French women teach their children to sit in open seating cafes and smirk and whisper about every overweight or plain person walking by, which is what I observed for a few hours during a meal in Paris? So, I don't care what the French think in general.
Cops: 14-year-old boy beat, killed 7-month-old sister
Mon Feb 11, 2013
I think there is a big difference between babysitting and leaving a possibly mentally ill and certainly sleep-deprived teenage boy alone throughout night after night with an infant.
